This activity will take you to Bounce for some intense trampolining.  You’ll have a lunch break (BYO from site) then we head off for an afternoon of Ice Skating, taking in the cooler side of life on a hot summer’s Brizzy day!

Ever wanted to shoot your best friend? This is the offsite activity for you then, you terrible person. You’ll get to engage with archery tag, Laser Skirmish and other combative skills.  Take your lunch in case you survive that long, and take a towel for a cool-off swim after battle.

This is a simple day at the beach. Head offsite with your lunch packed for a full day at one of Queensland’s famous Sunshine Coast beaches.  Hang out at the base with Beach Cricket and Beach Volleyball, or explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast at your leisure. We’ll be smack bang in the middle of the beach, river, surf and shops, with easy transport options further afield and no set schedule. Find out what it’s really like to be a Banana-Bending Queenslander.

Who says Brisbane doesn’t have kulcha?  We may be Australia’s biggest country town, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get great shows occasionally (on Foxtel). Discover the skills needed to deliver a show through spending a day engaged in theatre production with our Wonargo Revue team. Backstage, centre stage, sound and lighting. Take your lunch with you to eat during intermission and have fun putting on a show!

You haven’t been to Queensland until you’ve been to the Gems of the Gold Coast – Dreamworld and White Water World. Get your adrenalin pumping and take in all it has to offer. Take your lunch and a towel and spend a whole day getting excited!

Are you the sort of person that suffers from a terrible abundance of energy? The rest of the activities look too easy? We have you sorted with this triathlon of sorts: Start with a mountain bike ride from Mt Coot-tha, overlooking Brisbane, down into the heart of the City. Jump in a kayak and experience the city views as you paddle down the Brisbane River to Southbank – Brisbane’s leisure parkland, where you’ll complete the final leg – the mega-swim! Well, actually, you’ll get to laze by the pool, have a swim, throw a Frisbee, grab a bite and relax.

Want to get started on your future career as a pro-surfer, but don’t actually have any idea how? This is for you. You’ll learn how to body board and get some time on stand up boards over a three hour session. This activity runs concurrently with Get Burnt, and you’ll have plenty of time either side to explore the Sunshine Coast at your own pace.

See the famous Glasshouse Mountains up close and personal, and with maximum effort, with this morning hike up Mount Beerwah (subject to change depending on weather). After you’ve gone up and back again, you’ll be taken to a beautiful Sunshine Coast beach for a well-earned swim! BYO lunch, boots and towel.

Need a break from all the venturing? Enjoy this relaxed, self-led day in Brisbane City.  Suggested activities include lunch, City Cat ride, Science Centre, movies, but it’s all up to you – we’ll just get you there and home. But wait, want the best view in Brisbane?  We have booked you in for a bridge climb as well. Harness up and climb the magnificent Storey Bridge. It’s a just like the Sydney Harbour bridge, but has a Story as well. BYO lunch.

Platinum Offsite Activities require an additional fee

We all understand the value of Scouting, and we all know Venturers is the best Section, but sometimes we just need a little time out.  This is a “Leaders Only” full-day decadent tour of the Sunshine Coast hinterland with a professional tour company – Sunshine Tours http://www.sunshinewinetours.com.au

Nev will pick us up from camp where we’ll travel north to view the hauntingly beautiful Glasshouse Mountains at Mary Cairncross Park Lookout (with a glass of sparkling wine).

From here, we will head to a wine tasting at Maleny Mountain Winery – www.malenymountainwines.com.au

We will then sample cheese at Maleny Cheese Factory, where there’s a wide variety of award-winning cheese to sample. Purchase a coffee, tea, beer or glass of wine and relax on the deck.

We will then clear the palate with a wine tasting at Flame Hill Winery near Montville or Masons Wine in Montville. Choice of venue will be determined closer to the day.

Time to stop and have lunch at Montville Bar & Grill. This is a 2 course meal included in the fee.  Menus will be distributed at the first wine tasting stop to allow perusal and selection of the Main meal. The meal selections are then forwarded to Montville Bar & Grill as some meals require extra time for preparation.

Hang on!! Only a 2 course meal? We’ll finish off with delicious chocolate & fudge sampling at the Chocolate Country shop. Wall to wall chocolate and candy. Tour participants receive a 10% discount on any purchase.

Time to walk off the calories. Spend the remaining time wandering the Montville main street, with a range of shops, galleries, and Castle Glen Liqueurs with 4 complimentary samples.

After a fantastic day, it’s time to say farewell and head back to camp refreshed. Note:  Alcohol cannot be brought back on site.
